Each moment is an elaboration on the earlier ones, and each takes him deeper into despair. Unpublished Black Irish JAB, “The All Is Lost Moment” The All Is Lost Moment is the moment when the ego realizes it cannot solve the problem by itself…the ego, meaning the protagonist’s material-world, first-level self — the self that relies on reason, hard work, frontal assault, etc. In other words, the self that is bounded within the “I” parameter. The Epiphanal Moment, i.e., the solution to this dilemma, is the moment when the identity shifts from the ego to the Greater Self and evolves a response based on principles beyond those of the rational mind.

Justice is achieved not in striving for justice, but with love.
