I Daily Wisdom
Robert Greene The Daily Laws September 12 · Time Is All You Have

Space I can recover. Time, never.

—Napoleon Bonaparte

Time is just as important as space in strategic thought, and knowing how to use time will make you a superior strategist, giving an added dimension to your attacks and defense. To do this you must stop thinking of time as an abstraction: in reality, beginning the minute you are born, time is all you have. It is your only true commodity. People can take away your possessions, but—short of murder—not even the most powerful aggressors can take time away from you unless you let them. Even in prison your time is your own, if you use it for your own purposes. To waste your time in battles not of your choosing is more than just a mistake, it is stupidity of the highest order.

Daily Law: Resist the urge to respond to trivial annoyances. Time lost can never be regained.

THE EPIPHANAL MOMENT IN ROCKY Remember Rocky’s All Is Lost Moment from

Leo Tolstoy A Calendar of Wisdom September 12

You cannot serve both god and the devil.

Merely tending to the growth of your wealth has nothing to do with the requirements of the truly spiritual life.

It seems to me that the old prejudice that wealth brings happiness has begun to be discredited.

The love of great wealth commends you, “Bring me your soul as a sacrifice,” and people will do so.

—SAINT JOHN CHRYSOSTOM

Excessive dress prevents the body from moving freely.

Excessive wealth interferes with the movements of our soul.

—DEMOSTHENES

The desire for wealth can never be satisfied.

Those who have it are excited by the wish to have more, and yet more.

—MARCUS TULLIUS CICERO

Do not fear poverty, but beware wealth.

If only people who seek wealth could clearly see what they would lose by having it, they would put the same amount of effort into getting rid of this wealth as they now put into acquiring it.

III Signals & Dispatches

AI / ML

  • @OpenAIDevssource ↗ OpenAI says developers should revisit skills, AGENTS.md, and prompts as Astra changes which guardrails and workflows are still useful.
  • @dwarkesh_spsource ↗ A new podcast brings together leading researchers to debate RSI, Chinese labs’ progress, and how automated AI researchers might be trained.

Drug Discovery

  • @InSilicoMedssource ↗ Rentosertib, described as the first generative-AI-discovered drug to reach Phase III, has dosed its first Phase III patient as the company rolls out new discovery models.
  • @xanaminisource ↗ Liquid AI and Insilico report a biological and chemical foundation model trained across more than 400 drug-discovery tasks.

Biotech

  • @MSKCancerCentersource ↗ MSK researchers used AI-designed protein binders to improve CAR-T tumor control in mouse models, targeting a long-standing design bottleneck.
  • @NiomeAIsource ↗ Niome says its HBB/CRISPR editing-outcome challenge has collected more than 481,000 experiments toward synthetic records for sickle-cell research.

Tech

  • @wallstenginesource ↗ Citrini Research has been sold to SemiAnalysis, bringing two independent research platforms focused on markets, AI, and semiconductors under one roof.
  • @techdevnotessource ↗ Grok Bot is now available on the web, expanding delegated-task workflows beyond the main chat.

Japanese Politics

  • @tamakiyuichirosource ↗ 玉木雄一郎 is urging voters on Okinawa’s election final day to support 国民民主党-backed 古謝げんた and allied municipal candidates.
  • @SatoMasahisasource ↗ 佐藤正久 is warning that North Korea’s new destroyer deployments point toward a more capable nuclear-missile naval posture in the Sea of Japan.

V What Rex Can Do Today
  1. Pull the full text and methods of the 400+ task biological/chemical foundation-model paper and file a one-page relevance note for StemRim.
  2. Compare today’s AI-designed CAR-T binder result with current protein-design benchmarks and flag the most transferable methods.
  3. Draft a short research watchlist for Rentosertib Phase III and regenerative-medicine AI signals.
VI Toward the Long Game
  1. Read the primary paper behind the Liquid AI/Insilico 400+ task model and reproduce one benchmark with an open model.
  2. Spend 45 minutes on lab-in-the-loop drug discovery: map where agents stop and assay validation begins.
  3. Contact one AI-biotech researcher or attend one upcoming AI-in-biotech event; ask a concrete question about deployment bottlenecks.
